Vuelta del Quilt Camp en Born to Quilt

It is not easy to write this post. There is so much I would like to say that I don't know where to begin.
The first thing I would like you to do is to click below and listen to the music as you read and see the photos.
this music is the soundtrack of our quilt camp.

First, I want to show you the place where we sewed. I loved that room. It was big, with plenty of space to work comfortably.

Vero's works decorating the place....

Los trabajos de Vero decorando la sala...

Lovely Yankee Candle aroma in the air....

And whenever you felt like it, a break with tea, coffee and these lovely cakes.....

As the weather was lovely, we often sewed outside....

Vero working in one of her projects...

A lot of relaxing moments of nice conversation...

Muchos momentos de relax y charla...

Our rooms were also great!
Look at my bed! this is a present from Vero on the bed.
She arranges the bedrooms so that you feel so well: nice quilts made by her, candles, fresh flowers, magazines......

Of course, a visit to the shop and Vero's home!

the shop is so cute!
Everything inside is beautiful!!!

And we met Lizzy there !!!!
She is so happy!!! Full of energy!!!!
We spent lots of time with her!!

We also went for walks in the countryside....

Dimos paseos por el campo....

During these walks I was feeling I was inside the Born to Quilt book.
Do you know what I mean?
I had read so many times about Vero's walks with Lizzy and now I was there with them!!!
It was like a dream!!!

And the pyjama party!
that was a ball!
We won!! I couldn't believe!
Let me show you what we did...

Y la fiesta pijama!
Nos lo pasamos bárbaro y encima ganamos!!!
Os enseño lo que hicimos!!!

It is a story in three parts.
the first one is the husbands waving goodbye!!
they look very happy!!!

this one is hiding the Visa card in his right hand!!

Veis la Visa en la mano derecha?

And this one has it on his waist.
they thought it was better to leave it at home, just in case!!

the second part is the journey....

La segunda parte es: el viaje

We are heading for Chazelle L'Echo, 1336 kms away.

With our suitcases, our sewing kits....
We are going to Born to Quilt!!!

el coche cargado de maletas, costureros.....
Y además es la pura verdad!!!

And the third part is the arrival...
Vero is waiting for us outside her shop!!

Y la tercera parte: la llegada.
Vero nos espera en su tienda.

Vero loves nice clothes, so she is wearing a lovely Burberrys skirt and a nice chocolate woollen sweater...

Here we are , opening our prize!!!!
It was such fun!!!

Aquí abriendo los premios!!!

And back to work.
Something I loved about the quilt camp: you sew all day and all night. We went back to the sewing room after dinner and stayed there sewing until one or two in the morning. I loved those moments...
Sewing in silence!
Well, not very often... We even sang but I won't show you those pictures!!!!

Y después, vuelta a coser!

Here Pascale is reading a chapter from a book she has written...
It was a nice moment.. I enjoyed it a lot!!!

Our group was wonderful. A group of beautiful ladies. Sometimes we couldn't talk a lot because of the language but we communicated anyway and we had harmony. I loved all the ladies and I WANT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR WITH THE SAME PEOPLE: NICOLE, MARTINE, CHRISTIANE, MYMI, FABY, MARIA ISABEL, CONCHI, CARMEN, CLO, JULIETA AND PASCALE. And of course, with the sweet CATHERINE. She was so lovely, so helpful, so sweet. I have not got enough adjectives for Catherine, I just loved her!!! And what can I say about Veronique!! I love her too. She made so many things to make us feel so good. Every little detail she takes care of. She was with us all day, until very late even when she had to get up very early in the morning. She is so talented!!! the quilt camp is not a course at all. It is much more!!!!! well, now, they all would tell me: CALLA HO!!!!!!

Sencillamente me encantó.
Y Vero!

And this was the kit we found on the table when we arrived

Este es el kit con el proyecto

Lizzy's shop XXL.
I had done the little one with my friends but this was much bigger!!!
We nearly finished it there.
this is what it looked like when I arrived home yesterday

And I have finished it!!!
It is so lovely!!!

Y ya la terminé!!
queda preciosa!!!

Have a closer look...

One of the sides...

the other one...

Do you like it?

and some more pictures...
with Vero and my friends Carmen and Conchi
they were wonderful..
You see, I told you we used to sew in the evening . I found it very difficult to thread my needle in the evening. Carmen did it for me all the time and that is a simple thing that I will never forget. It means a lot to me....
And Conchi is the best travel companion... kind, helpful, warm....

Y unas fotos finales

This also means a lot to me...
I loved Julieta, we met in the course and I think she is such a beautiful woman!!

And here is Julieta and sweet Catherine!!
I hope you can both come to Spain soon!!!

Y aquí con Catherine y Julieta.
Espero tenerlas en España algún dia!!!

And the group!!!!
Calla ho!!!!!

Y el grupo
Calla ho!!!!!!

And the last day...
just a last picture before the long trip home!!!

And this is all!!!
I am afraid not a very well organized post but I hope I have been able to trasmit what I felt during these beautiful and unforgettable days!!!!
Love love love xxx

First thing, I want to thank David, who thought of me and gave me this award. It means a lot to me because I love his blog!! I have to pass it to seven people but I will do it when I come back from the quilt camp, now I cannot think!!!

En otro orden de cosas....
Mi delantal está listo.
Carmen

My Born to Quilt apron is ready!

And my pyjamas (for the pyjamas party) is nearly done. I think I will finished it off tonight.
It is a pity I cannot show it to you. It is a secret! When the party is over, I will show you some pictures!!!
Now I am going to show the the new things in my shop!!!
